Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Toxicology Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and analyzing toxicology tests to detect and quantify drugs and other substances. This role requires adherence to regulatory standards, quality control protocols, and timely reporting of results.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct high-complexity toxicology testing using LC-MS/MS, immunoassay, and other analytical methods.

· Review and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory protocols.

· Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed.

· Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory guidelines.

· Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting of results.

· Assist in method validation, calibration, and equipment maintenance.

· Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of specimens and reagents.

· Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers regarding test results when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

· California CLS License (Required)

· Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

· Experience in toxicology testing, including LC-MS/MS analysis, preferred.

· Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations for laboratory testing.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Effective communication skills and a commitment to quality and compliance.
