Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as a Special Procedures Technologist or in a related radiology or interventional radiology role
• Strong knowledge of imaging technologies and special procedures protocols
• Ability to operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and interact compassionately with patients
• Physical stamina to assist with patient positioning and support during special procedures
• Ability to follow meticulous procedural and documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate specialized imaging equipment for a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Assist physicians and clinical staff during complex procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Maintain a sterile environment and strictly adhere to infection control protocols
• Verify patient information and procedure orders before each case to ensure accuracy
• Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform routine quality control and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Respond promptly to emergencies and adapt to the clinical needs as they arise

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program or equivalent education
• Current certification or licensure in radiologic technology or relevant specialty
• Prior experience in special procedures or interventional radiology settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of patient care practices and safety regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
