About This Position

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Assistant Director of Nursing to join our healthcare leadership team at Garden Terrace Healthcare Center of Federal Way, WA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing management, education administration, and healthcare operations. This role offers an opportunity to influence patient care quality, foster professional development among nursing staff, and contribute to the overall success of our healthcare facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work closely with senior leadership to implement policies, oversee clinical practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and executing strategic plans to enhance patient care services and operational efficiency.

Support budgeting processes by monitoring expenditures, managing resource allocation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Lead and manage nursing teams by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting a collaborative work environment.

Oversee educational programs and training initiatives to ensure ongoing professional development for nursing staff and adherence to accreditation standards.

Collaborate with university partners and academic institutions to facilitate teaching opportunities, internships, and research projects within the healthcare setting.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and institutional policies through regular audits and staff education.

Contribute to management decision-making processes by providing insights on clinical operations, staffing needs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Proven experience in nursing management or leadership roles within a healthcare environment.

Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and management principles applicable to healthcare settings.

Experience in education administration with a focus on training, curriculum development, or academic collaboration.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive organizational culture.

Familiarity with university partnerships or teaching environments related to healthcare education is highly desirable.

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with current credentials; additional advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration are preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
