Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

12-hours, XYZ Schedule

Job Summary

Washington Care Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for resident services and other duties assigned, performing duties with other staff and volunteers as appropriate. Duties include medication assistance/administration, nursing services, dining services and others as needed for resident well-being. Trains other staff as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Supervises nursing care to residents

Complies with state and Federal Regulations

Works Collaboratively with members of the healthcare team

Maintains standards of professional nursing practice.

Provides back-up to Director of Nursing when needed.

Reviews assignments with Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager.

Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.

Notifies physician, RN and/or designated agent(s) of resident status/change as appropriate. Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted by state regulations.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

Must possess a current LPN license in good standing.

Must have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare.

Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
