ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
HIRING DEPARTMENTS: Oncology
Provides specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals following diagnosis and through all stages of treatment. Responsible for providing Medical Oncology and other infusion treatments and education regarding these treatments to patients with cancer, ensuring continuity of evidence based nursing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, assessing health, health related and nursing needs of patients, their families and other caregivers by identifying and initiating appropriate steps for effective care.
Direct patient care to oncology and hematology patients
Manages caseload(s) of patients on an outpatient basis
Administers chemotherapy/biotherapy/supportive care
Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or family
team player
high ethical standards
reliable and dependable
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
Professional Nursing license from any U.S. state, territory or Commonwealth
BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider from Oncology Nursing Society
LOCATION AND LIFESTYLE:
