Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team at Cornhusker Vital Care as an Infusion Registered Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and comfort. The nurse in this role will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, administering IV/SQ infusion and fluids, monitoring patients during infusion treatments and providing ongoing assessments in the home and clinic setting.

Duties

Maintain the role of Back-Up Home Health Administrator for our Nebraska Licensure, assisting the Director of Nursing in maintaining compliance with DHHS regulations.

Administer intravenous/subcutaneous (IV/SC) infusions, medications, and fluids accurately following established protocols and aseptic techniques. Infusions/injections are either in-home or in a company-owned clinic between Omaha and Lincoln.

Assess patient condition before, during, and after infusion therapy to monitor for adverse reactions or complications.

Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, medication management, and post-treatment care plans.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Manage supplies and equipment related to infusion therapy, ensuring sterility and readiness for procedures.

Requirements

Valid RN license with current registration in the State of Nebraska.

Valid driver's license and reliable method of transportation.

Prior experience in home infusion and direct patient care.

Knowledge of infusion therapy equipment including pumps, catheters, and sterile processing procedures.

Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration protocols.

Ability to assess patient needs accurately through vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
