Requirements and Skills
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the practicing state
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating and treating patients with physical, developmental, or cognitive impairments
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to document treatment plans and progress notes accurately and timely
- Proficiency in developing customized therapy plans to promote patient independence and improve quality of life
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide interventions focused on improving patients’ functional abilities and daily living skills
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay current with developments in occupational therapy practice and integrate evidence-based techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Relevant clinical experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $72.00 - $85.00
