Requirements and Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Dakota
- Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills in maternal and neonatal care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and patient monitoring systems
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to clinical protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using established clinical guidelines and technology
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients and family members on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies, including fetal distress and maternal complications
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Dakota
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery or maternal/child health nursing preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated compassionate patient care and professional integrity
Compensation: Hourly rate of $68.00 - $81.00
