Join Our Team as a Therapy/Rehabilitation Professional in Lubbock, TX

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapy/Rehabilitation professional to join our dynamic PT Acute Care team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in both acute and outpatient settings, delivering high-quality patient care and rehabilitation. Shift / Schedule

  • Day Shift, Monday through Friday
  • 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in therapy/rehabilitation
  • Proficient in charting systems, specifically Epic
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in the following work settings:
    • Acute Care
    • Outpatient Clinic (required)
    • Rehabilitation Hospital (required)
    • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (required)
  • Knowledge and skills in assessment, particularly body mechanics
  • Orthopedic expertise including:
    • Cervicalgia (required)
    • Low back pain (required)
    • Post-operative cervical, shoulder repair, spinal surgeries
    • Spinal conditions (required)
    • Total hip and knee replacement
    • Gait training (required)
    • Hip fractures/injuries (required)
  • Neurologic patient care experience with conditions such as:
    • Cognitive disorders
    • Multiple Sclerosis
    • Muscular dystrophy
    • Parkinson’s disease
    • Post stroke rehabilitation
    • Spinal cord injury
    • Traumatic brain injury
  • Professional skills including development of Home Exercise Programs and patient/family education
  • Specialized patient populations: Neurology (required) and Orthopedics (required)
  • Documentation proficiency in assessment, evaluation, and discharge processes (required)
  • Experience using essential equipment and devices:
    • Bed alarms (required)
    • Call lights (required)
    • Gait belts (required)
    • Hospital/Specialty beds (required)
    • Sliding boards (required)
  • Billing knowledge for Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare A payers (required)
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert physical therapy services to patients in acute care, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of body mechanics and neurologic and orthopedic conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including home exercise programs tailored to patient needs
  • Utilize clinical expertise in managing post-operative and injury rehabilitation for orthopedic and neurologic patient populations
  • Document assessments, evaluations, and discharge summaries accurately and timely using Epic charting system
  • Educate patients and families on condition management, therapeutic exercises, and safety protocols
  • Effectively use and maintain specialty equipment such as gait belts, sliding boards, and hospital beds to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with billing requirements for Commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare A

Qualifications

  • Licensed physical therapist or equivalent credential in rehabilitation therapy
  • At least one year of relevant clinical experience in acute care and rehabilitation settings
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficiency in the Epic charting system
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic therapy practices
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and high standards of care

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $52.00 to $61.00 per hour. As part of the Quick2Hire staffing agency, you will have a dedicated recruiter to support your professional journey, with the convenience of weekly pay to fit your financial needs.
