Requirements & Skills

• Proficiency in performing EEG diagnostic tests accurately and efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to operate EEG equipment and related technology
• Strong knowledge of neurological anatomy and physiology
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain precise documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct EEG tests according to prescribed procedures and protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain EEG equipment to ensure accurate data collection
• Monitor patients during testing and recognize abnormal readings or complications
• Accurately record and report EEG findings for neurologist review
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to support diagnosis and treatment plans
• Stay current with advances in EEG technology and neurological practices

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EEG Technologist training program
• Certification as an EEG Technologist preferred (e.g., ABRET EEG certification)
• Previous experience performing EEG tests in a clinical setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate ranging from $59.00 to $69.00 based on experience and qualifications.
