Shift Information
- Day Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Night Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
- Oregon Pharmacist License (required)
- Certification in Chemo/Hazardous Drug handling (required)
- Experience with Home Health Infusion (required)
- Proficient in inpatient/acute care pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems (required)
- Preferred experience with Epic charting system
- Preferred community hospital experience
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications accurately and efficiently according to prescribed therapies
- Manage and monitor medication inventory using Pyxis systems to ensure availability and compliance with safety standards
- Provide expert consultation and education to patients and healthcare staff regarding medication use and potential side effects, including chemotherapy and hazardous drug handling
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens and outcomes
- Utilize Epic (or preferred charting systems) to document patient care activities and medication histories thoroughly and accurately
- Ensure compliance with state pharmacy laws, regulations, and institutional policies
- Support home health infusion services by coordinating medication delivery and providing expertise in infusion therapies
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Oregon
- Certification in Chemo/Hazardous Drug handling required
- At least 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience, including inpatient or acute care settings
- Demonstrated proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support patient care and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
