Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Ability to operate ICU monitoring equipment and administer critical care medications safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and post-surgical patients in the SICU
- Monitor patient vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and document patient status accurately
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with infection control standards
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide life-saving interventions as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Wisconsin
- Experience in ICU or SICU nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to quality patient care
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $63.00 to $74.00
