Requirements and Skills

  • Certified Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and catheterization procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
  • Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring proper sterilization and functionality
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during procedures
  • Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent education
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Previous experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab preferred but not always required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $75.00 - $89.00
