Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Previous experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in managing complex patient conditions and advanced life support techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU according to established protocols and standards
- Monitor patients continuously, assessing their conditions, administering medications, and performing necessary interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care as appropriate
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while adhering to infection control policies
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a dedication to compassionate patient care
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and clinical situations
