Shift and Schedule Information

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience working as a Dietitian in an inpatient or clinical healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutritional assessment, and care planning
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to accurately document patient nutritional information and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
• Demonstrated proficiency with nutritional software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Compassionate approach and commitment to patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatient populations
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with medical staff
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly to achieve optimal health outcomes
• Ensure accurate documentation of nutritional interventions and patient responses
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
• Stay current with best practices in dietetics and inpatient nutrition management

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Current state licensure or certification as required for practice in Minnesota
• Previous experience in an inpatient healthcare setting strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
