Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Proven experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide compassionate and effective patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in the Emergency Department
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, direct patient care to individuals experiencing acute medical emergencies
- Perform thorough assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient status and respond rapidly to changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately and timely, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to all hospital protocols and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge plans as appropriate
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Wisconsin
- Certification in BLS and ACLS required
- Experience working in an Emergency Room setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to handle high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism
