Requirements and Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- Proven experience in Emergency Room nursing or acute care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Competency in using electronic medical records and standard hospital equipment
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions
- Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective treatment planning
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols
- Respond promptly to emergencies and stabilize patients as needed
- Document patient information accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Michigan
- Experience in emergency nursing or equivalent acute care practice
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is highly desirable
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
