Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse – Surgery RN in Issaquah, WA

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with a strong surgical background to join our dynamic team. Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; scrub experience is highly preferred
  • Specialized experience in ENT surgeries with endoscope expertise strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scrub roles for orthopedic, robotic, and ENT surgeries
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (ACLS required)
  • No travel experience required

Core Skills & Surgical Experience

  • Gynecology: Abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair (colporrhaphy), bilateral tubal ligation, dilation & curettage, laparoscopic assisted procedures
  • Plastics: Abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, free flap microvascular, mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction
  • General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), laparoscopic assisted procedures, partial/total thyroidectomy
  • Orthopedic: Arthroscopy, closed/open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, spine surgeries, total joint replacement; scrub orthopedic and arthroscopic surgeries required
  • Robotics: Colorectal, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, neurological, orthopedic, otolaryngologic, urologic robotic surgeries, including scrub robotic surgery and TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery)
  • Urology: Cystoscopy, laparoscopic assisted cases, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate
  • Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT): Endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy; scrub ENT surgery required
  • Neurology: Laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion
  • Trauma and Vascular: Scrub trauma and vascular surgeries
  • Additional Skills: Orthopedic sports medicine experience, wound VAC management, epidural pump administration
  • Professional Knowledge: Administration of blood and blood products, conscious sedation monitoring

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care to surgical patients across multiple specialty areas
  • Perform scrub nurse duties, maintaining sterile technique and instrumentation during procedures
  • Monitor patient status intraoperatively including vital signs and sedation levels
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Administer blood products and manage complex equipment such as wound VACs and epidural pumps
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and nursing best practices
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly in patient records and surgical logs
  • Participate in continuous education and training to maintain and expand nursing competencies

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse licensure in Washington State
  • Minimum two years of surgical nursing experience with scrub and robotic surgery proficiency
  • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-acuity surgical environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate of $56.00 to $67.00
