We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Room team in Beaver Dam, WI. Schedule & Shift
This position offers flexible shift opportunities tailored to meet the needs of our Emergency Room unit. The role involves working various shifts to provide comprehensive patient care in an urgent and often unpredictable setting.
Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience in Emergency Room nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with a variety of urgent and emergent medical conditions
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and administer treatments and medications as ordered
- Collaborate closely with physicians, healthcare team members, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and status, responding promptly to changes or emergencies
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and documentation according to regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care requirements
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of one year of experience in emergency nursing or acute care preferred
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
