Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Washington
- Experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
- Strong clinical skills related to neonatal care including monitoring and managing critically ill infants
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients’ families and healthcare staff
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Commitment to upholding patient safety and quality care standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring
- Administer medications, therapies, and interventions safely and accurately according to protocols
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate and support families on infant care plans and progress
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in the medical record
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for neonates
- Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain nursing skills and stay current in neonatal care best practices
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Washington
- Neonatal Nursing Certification (e.g., RNC-NIC) preferred but not required
- Prior NICU nursing experience strongly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting
Compensation: Earn an hourly rate between $59.00 - $70.00
