About This Position
Work alongside one of the area's most experienced and qualified Directors of Nursing to provide compassionate care to the residents of CCRC. Our Director of Nursing has won the Mille E. Olson Award in recent years for exceptional service in the long-term care profession. We are seeking likeminded nurses to continue that standard of care. Responsibilities
Assess patient’s health condition and progress
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors
Monitor vital signs and ensure the proper functions of feeding tubes, catheters and other equipment
Record patient medical histories and symptoms
Create care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Respond to patient emergencies and alerts doctors when necessary
Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries
Follow handover procedures for shift change
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Communicate with patients and their families to inform them about treatment plans
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Registered Nurse or similar role
Ability to work night shifts and handle the physical and emotional demands of the job
Excellent knowledge of emergency care and advanced nursing procedures
Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
South Dakota nursing license
CPR certification is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
