Shift Information
- Day Shift
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Active ARRT (Therapy) certification
- Valid State license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
- Proficient with charting systems, Epic preferred
- Experience working in Adult Acute Care settings (required)
- Skilled in Bean Data Acquisition
- Expertise treating Benign Brain Tumors, Heterotopic Bone, Keloids, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Superior Vena Cava, and Tomo Therapy protocols
- Competent in beam modifying and positioning technologies including CBCT, kV, and mV imaging
- Dosimetry experience with Electron Field treatments
- Hands-on experience with treatment units such as Elekta Infinity and Varian 21 ex/ix
- Provision of treatment to patients with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer, and Testicular Cancer
- Proficient in using Impac MOSAIQ for treatment management
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and precise radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and established protocols
- Operate and maintain advanced radiation therapy equipment including Elekta Infinity and Varian units
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as CBCT, kV, and mV to ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery
- Manage and document patient treatments in the Epic charting system and Impac MOSAIQ software to maintain accurate records
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, radiologists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer treatment plans for a variety of conditions including benign brain tumors, lymphomas, pancreatic and testicular cancers, and other specified cases
- Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with technological advancements and best practices in radiation therapy
Qualifications
- Completed accredited radiation therapy training program
- Registered Technologist in Radiation Therapy (ARRT - T) with current certification
- State licensure in good standing
- Demonstrated expertise with specialized treatment techniques including SRS, respiratory gating, and Tomo Therapy
- Strong familiarity with dosimetry, beam modification, and advanced imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary care teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage complex treatment schedules and documentation
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $72.00 to $85.00.
