Requirements & Skills
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
- Experience in inpatient dietetic services preferred
- Strong clinical and nutritional assessment skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical nutrition therapy and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Knowledge of current nutrition guidelines, standards, and regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatient populations
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans to meet patient needs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Document nutritional assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay current with advances in clinical nutrition and inpatient dietetic practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Registration as a Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensure as required by the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience in an inpatient clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compensation: Hourly rate of $57.00 - $67.00
