Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and infection control
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or relevant equivalent

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain sterility and adhere to strict infection control standards throughout procedures
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens and waste
• Inspect and maintain surgical equipment before, during, and after operations
• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery including positioning and draping
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform in high-pressure surgical environments
• Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands of the role
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
