Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Proven experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in maternal and fetal care
- Ability to provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Knowledge of labor induction, fetal monitoring, pain management, and emergency procedures
- Commitment to adhering to healthcare regulations and hospital policies
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and related medical procedures
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery processes, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and interventions
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and newborns
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nebraska
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Preferred certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care
Compensation
Earn an hourly rate ranging from $72.00 to $85.00, reflecting your experience and expertise.
