We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology/Cardiology professional to join our team specializing in CT technology. Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift: 4x10 hour shifts per week
  • Hours: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in CT technology or related radiology/cardiology imaging
  • Certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT Radiography (R), and BLS required
  • Proficiency with Image Display and Post Processing, including:
    • 3D rendering techniques (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
    • Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
    • Region of interest (ROI) measurement
  • Experience imaging Abdomen and Pelvis with and without contrast
  • Experience in Adult Acute Care and ICU settings is required; knowledge of Emergency Department and Adult Outpatient environments a plus
  • Head and Neck imaging expertise, including Carotid imaging (required), Head, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, and Trauma head
  • Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging skills involving Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, and Thoracic regions
  • Chest imaging capabilities including Chest with and without contrast and Vascular chest imaging (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
  • Familiarity with equipment, specifically GE scanners and PACS systems (both required)
  • Professional knowledge of Isolation Precautions/PPE, Radiation Safety, and preparation/administration of contrast media
  • Proficient in clinical skills including Starting Peripheral IVs and Venipuncture (required)
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate GE CT scanning equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging of various body regions including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, chest, and vascular structures with appropriate protocols
  • Utilize advanced imaging post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement effectively to assist radiologists and cardiologists in diagnosis
  • Follow established Radiation Safety guidelines and Isolation Precautions to protect patients and staff
  • Prepare and administer contrast media safely according to protocol and patient needs
  • Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs as required to facilitate contrast administration
  • Document all imaging procedures accurately and timely in the Epic charting system or preferred alternatives
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in Adult Acute Care and ICU units to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment and image management systems including PACS to ensure system readiness and integrity
  • Adhere to healthcare regulations and institutional policies while delivering compassionate patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT and ARRT Radiography credentials
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical skills in CT imaging and patient care
  • Proven knowledge of CT equipment operation and post-processing techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to follow protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare safety standards
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities to manage scheduling and documentation
