Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift Options:
- 4 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3 x 10-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Travel experience required
- Required Certifications:
- ARRT CT
- ARRT R
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Texas Licensure
- Proficiency in Image Display and Post Processing, including:
- 3D Rendering (Maximum Intensity Projection, Surface Shaded Displays, Volume Rendering)
- Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR)
- Region of Interest Measurement (ROI)
- Expertise in Abdomen and Pelvis Imaging, including colorectal studies (rectal contrast), abdomen and pelvis with and without contrast
- Experience working in multiple settings such as:
- Adult Outpatient (required)
- Level I Trauma (required)
- Level II Trauma Center
- Adult Acute Care
- Emergency Department
- ICU
- Pediatric Acute Care
- Pediatric Outpatient (required)
- Competence in Head and Neck Imaging including carotid, sinuses, trauma head, head without and/or with contrast and soft tissue neck
- Capabilities in Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma
- Experience with Chest imaging, including vascular chest studies (pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta) with and without contrast
- Professional knowledge in:
- Isolation Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Preparation and Administration of Contrast Media
- Radiation Safety
- Starting Peripheral IVs (required)
- Venipuncture (required)
- Familiarity with PACS and Siemens imaging equipment
- Special Procedures experience including Vascular CTA
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures across multiple anatomical regions including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal systems following established protocols.
- Utilize advanced post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements to assist radiologists in diagnosis.
- Ensure safe and effective administration of contrast media and manage patient preparation responsive to clinical indications.
- Provide expert care to patients in diverse acute and outpatient settings, including trauma centers, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain strict adherence to Radiation Safety standards and isolation precautions to protect patients and staff.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment including PACS and Siemens platforms, ensuring maximum uptime and quality imaging output.
- Assist with vascular CTA and other specialized imaging studies as required.
- Document procedures accurately, communicate findings effectively to the clinical team, and collaborate to support patient-centered care.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and certifications, maintaining compliance with licensure and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT and R credentials
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid Texas Radiologic Technologist Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CT technology in varied clinical environments
- Proven ability with advanced CT post-processing and imaging protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging between $56.00 and $67.00.
