Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in Cath Lab
- Community Hospital experience required
- No travel experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Fluoro Permit, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, CET, ARRT Advanced Cert or RCIS, ARRT R
- Procedural skills including:
- EKG lead placement (required)
- Accurate patient monitoring and equipment setup
- Preparation of access site
- Room circulator duties
- Maintaining sterile field as scrub technologist
- Strong skills in advanced vascular and cardiac procedures including:
- Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy (required)
- ECMO, Impella insertion, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) (required)
- Carotid Angiography, Embolization, Stent placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy (required)
- Experience working in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) (required), and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab
- Proficiency in stocking and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Additional skills with Coil Embolization/Ablations and Peripherals/Venous Access/hemodynamic monitoring desirable
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and set up of the cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology labs
- Perform accurate monitoring and EKG lead placement during cardiac procedures
- Prepare the patient’s access site and maintain sterile field throughout procedures as scrub tech
- Support procedural care for a variety of cardiac and vascular interventions including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, ablations, and electrophysiology studies
- Operate and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring proper stock and function of supplies
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to promote patient safety and positive outcomes during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Adhere to infection control, safety policies, and regulatory standards within the cath lab environment
Qualifications
- Completed certification in ARRT Advanced Cert or RCIS, ARRT R, BLS, ACLS, Fluoro Permit, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, CET
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience specifically in a cath lab setting
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
- Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and procedural protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and procedural excellence
