Join Our Team as a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics professional to join our team in Spokane, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified polysomnographer looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. Shift Schedule

  • Nights: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in respiratory or neuro diagnostics
  • Patient ratio experience: 1:2
  • Familiarity with charting systems; Epic experience preferred
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certifications
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on skills in monitoring including:
    • End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
    • Cardiac abnormalities detection
    • ECG and EEG monitoring
    • Oxygen saturation and Periodic Limb Movement (PLM)
    • Polysomnography (PSG)
    • Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP) – required proficiency
  • Experience conducting various study types such as:
    • Adult and Pediatric Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
    • Adult and Pediatric Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
    • Baseline Sleep Polysomnography
    • Seizure Studies
  • Strong skills in staging and scoring, with required PSG scoring proficiency, including:
    • Arousal identification
    • Cheyne-Stokes respiration
    • Complex Sleep Apnea and Hypopnea
    • Periodic Breathing, Respiratory Events, and Sleep Stages
    • Transient arousals
  • Competence in titration techniques, including:
    • ASV (Adaptive Servo-Ventilation)
    • BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure)
    • CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
    • Oxygen administration
    • VPAP (Variable Positive Airway Pressure)
  • Mask fitting expertise for various types, including Full Face, Nasal Mask, and Nasal Pillow
  • Experience working in an Independent Lab setting
  • Professional knowledge of infection control and provision of patient education
  • Hands-on experience with ResMed and Respironics equipment
  • No travel required

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and monitor comprehensive sleep and neurological diagnostic studies according to established protocols
  • Perform accurate staging, scoring, and interpretation of PSG data
  • Administer and titrate various respiratory therapies including ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen therapy
  • Fit patients with appropriate respiratory masks ensuring optimal comfort and compliance
  • Maintain strict infection control standards and provide patient education on procedures and therapies
  • Accurately document all findings and interventions utilizing electronic charting systems, preferably Epic
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Valid BLS and RPSGT certifications
  • At least 1 year of professional experience as a polysomnographer or in respiratory/neuro diagnostics
  • Strong proficiency in respiratory monitoring tools and polysomnographic scoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to patient education and team collaboration
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, night shift environment
  • Proficient in the use of ResMed and Respironics devices
