Join Our Team as a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics professional to join our dynamic team in Richland, WA. Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a NICU Level III or IV unit
- Experience in Emergency Department care (required)
- Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
- Current Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT or RRT, NRP, PALS or ENPC, RRT
- Preferred experience in Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II settings
- In-depth knowledge of neonatal and pediatric respiratory care equipment and procedures
- Competence in ventilator management, including high frequency jet and oscillator ventilators
- Skill in performing and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Proficient in pulmonary function testing, including spirometry (required)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory therapy and neuro diagnostic support in NICU and adult critical care settings
- Manage ventilator support and weaning for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including utilization of BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency ventilation modalities
- Perform neonatal airway management including direct intubation, intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Deliver oxygen therapy through multiple devices such as bag and mask, ET tube, high flow nasal cannula, and trach collar
- Assist in high-risk deliveries and provide specialized respiratory support during neonatal resuscitation
- Conduct pulmonary hygiene and suctioning procedures including oral, nasal, and endotracheal techniques
- Administer medications related to respiratory care, including Nitric Oxide (INo)
- Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpret results to guide patient respiratory management
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex respiratory disorders such as ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy cases, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using the Epic system in compliance with clinical standards and protocols
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner credential (CRT or RRT) is mandatory
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in emergency and critical care environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary care teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex respiratory cases in a Level III or IV NICU
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge and continuing education in respiratory therapy advancements
