Requirements and Skills
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Proven experience in intensive care or critical care nursing
- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, procedures, and standards
- Exceptional patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the SICU, including monitoring, assessment, and treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Use advanced clinical skills to operate and interpret data from ICU equipment and monitors
- Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies and changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment options, and recovery processes
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1-2 years ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification highly recommended
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations with professionalism and empathy
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Compensation: Hourly Rate $63.00 - $74.00
