Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) Unit
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Polson, MT. Shift and Schedule
- Night Shift – 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts per week
- Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years recent labor and delivery nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
- Seasoned traveler with previous travel nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certification
- Demonstrated expertise in labor and delivery management, including:
- Circulating for C-section procedures
- Performing sterile vaginal exams
- Experience in work settings that include Labor & Delivery and LDRP units
- Comfort and proficiency providing antepartum care and performing triage for obstetrical patients
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women in all stages of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with labor management including C-section circulation support
- Use clinical judgment to triage and assess obstetrical patients in antepartum care settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation utilizing the Epic electronic medical record system
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards, including certifications and protocols
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, with a valid license to practice in MT or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in Labor & Delivery nursing with recent, relevant practice
- Current BLS, CLC, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
- Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing principles and procedures
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining compassion and professionalism
