Schedule
Day Shift (4x10 Hours): 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Requirements and Skills
- Proficient in Charting System: Epic (Required)
- Valid certifications: ARDMS or ARDMS VT or CCI or RDCS, and BLS
- Extensive knowledge and skills in multispecialty ultrasound, including but not limited to:
- OB/GYN: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, placenta previa
- Fetal Ultrasound: Assessment of abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, diaphragm, duodenal atresia/intussusception, fingers/toes, gender, head, heart
- Neonatal Ultrasound: Abdomen, duodenal atresia/intussusception, head (required), hips (required), renal, spine (required)
- General Ultrasound: Abdominal aorta, appendix, breast (required), gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, spleen
- Vascular Ultrasound: Aorta, carotid, color flow, Doppler studies, duplex, lower extremity arterial and venous, M-Mode, renal artery duplex, upper extremity arterial and venous
- Renal/Pelvis Ultrasound: Bladder, hernia, ovaries, renal/bladder, transvaginal, uterus, vaginal
- Small Parts Ultrasound: Breast ultrasound (required), superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, thyroid
- Transplant Studies: Liver (required), renal (required)
- Advanced Procedures: Paracentesis (required), ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration (required)
- Additional Skills: Adult echo, contrast echo, echo stress on treadmill
- Experience operating GE equipment and PACS systems
- Adherence to isolation precautions and proper use of PPE
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including adult, emergency department, high-risk OB, ICU, obstetrics, pediatrics, and portables
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties including radiology and cardiology, ensuring accuracy and high-quality diagnostic images
- Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and reporting of patient studies promptly and accurately
- Maintain proficiency in advanced ultrasound procedures such as paracentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support diagnostic and therapeutic patient care
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality in compliance with safety standards
- Follow strict infection control procedures, including isolation precautions and the appropriate use of PPE, to ensure patient and staff safety
- Educate patients and explain procedures to provide comfort and confidence during examinations
- Stay current with technological advancements and continuing education requirements relevant to ultrasound and echocardiography practices
Qualifications
- Current and valid certification: ARDMS or ARDMS VT or CCI or RDCS
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated expertise in multispecialty ultrasound domains as outlined in requirements
- Strong proficiency with Epic charting system
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented with commitment to high standards in diagnostic imaging and patient care
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $78.00 to $92.00.
