Requirements & Skills
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong assessment and clinical skills related to maternal and neonatal care
- Ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting medical data and responding appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and their families throughout the childbirth process
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided
- Assist in emergency interventions as needed, maintaining composure under pressure
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements related to labor and delivery
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
- Previous L&D nursing experience preferred but not always required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $72.00 to $85.00
