Requirements & Skills

  • Valid and active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Wisconsin
  • Strong knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation protocols and procedures
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in documenting therapy sessions and progress accurately and timely
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to infection control policies
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to establish baseline function
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote patient independence and functionality
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly to maximize outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on activities and techniques to support recovery and adaptation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Wisconsin
  • Proven experience in providing occupational therapy services in an inpatient setting preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
