Requirements & Skills
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation protocols and procedures
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in documenting therapy sessions and progress accurately and timely
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety and adhering to infection control policies
- Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to establish baseline function
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote patient independence and functionality
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly to maximize outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on activities and techniques to support recovery and adaptation
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services in compliance with regulatory standards
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Wisconsin
- Proven experience in providing occupational therapy services in an inpatient setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
