Requirements & Skills
- Proficiency in interventional radiology procedures and vascular imaging techniques
- Strong understanding of IR equipment, safety protocols, and sterilization standards
- Exceptional patient care and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and technologists
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of radiologic anatomy and ability to assist in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate IR imaging equipment for vascular and interventional procedures
- Assist physicians by providing high-quality imaging support during minimally invasive vascular interventions
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and equipment usage
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and departmental policies at all times
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and procedural efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or IR technologist program
- Valid certification and licensure as required by state and professional bodies
- Experience in Interventional Radiology or vascular imaging preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $78.00 - $92.00
