Requirements and Skills
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Experience in Medical-Surgical and General Care Unit (GCU) nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a team-oriented setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized charting systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Medical-Surgical and GCU units
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management, post-discharge care, and medication usage
- Ensure compliance with established nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license active in Nebraska
- Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in medical-surgical nursing or related acute care setting
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Professionalism, empathy, and dedication to patient-centered care
Pay Rate: $62.00 - $73.00 per hour
