Shift & Schedule
Flexible inpatient dietitian shifts available. Specific unit/department assignments will be communicated upon placement. Hours will align with inpatient care needs to ensure optimal nutritional support for patients.
Requirements & Skills
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
- Current state licensure or eligibility to practice dietetics in Minnesota
- Experience in inpatient clinical nutrition assessment and intervention
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and therapeutic diets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic hospital environment
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatient clients
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for medical and surgical patients
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding dietary needs and modifications
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nutrition services in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current state licensure to practice as a dietitian in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience working in an inpatient healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong clinical nutrition knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse healthcare team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $57.00 - $67.00
