Required Skills and Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong clinical skills in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby care
- Ability to monitor and manage maternal and neonatal patient care effectively
- Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to providing compassionate and evidence-based nursing care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby units
- Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, identify any signs of distress, and intervene appropriately
- Assist with labor processes, including fetal monitoring and support during delivery
- Educate and support patients and families regarding postpartum care and newborn care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compassionate care environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Mother-Baby nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred or required
- Strong patient advocacy and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative healthcare setting
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $66.00 to $79.00 per hour
