Shift & Schedule
Flexible shifts available in the Labor & Delivery unit to meet the needs of the department. Specific hours will be discussed with your dedicated Quick2Hire recruiter to best match your availability and preferences.
Requirements & Skills
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
- Experience working in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in maternal and fetal care
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and support patients and their families
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring women, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
- Assist with delivery and support the birthing process in collaboration with physicians and midwives
- Educate and support patients and their families on prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed and monitor patients for potential complications
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment in the Labor & Delivery unit
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Nebraska
- Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
- CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to compassionate patient care
