Join Our Team as a Radiology / Cardiology Ultrasound Technologist in Plainview, TX

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology / Cardiology Ultrasound Technologist to become an essential member of our multispecialty team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise across a broad spectrum of ultrasound diagnostics, including general ultrasound, vascular, cardiology, and fetal imaging. Schedule

  • Day Shift: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements & Skills

  • Proficiency with Charting System: Epic (required)
  • Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS (required), BLS (required)
  • Experience and skills across the following ultrasound areas are required:
    • OB/GYN: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging; Amniotic fluid index; Fetal anatomical survey; Placenta previa
    • Fetal Imaging: Abdomen; Abdominal circumference; Bone lengths; Cerebellum and ventricles; Diaphragm; Duodenal atresia/intussusception; Fingers and toes; Gender; Head; Heart
    • Neonatal: Abdomen; Duodenal atresia/intussusception; Head (required); Hips (required); Renal; Spine (required)
    • General Ultrasound: Abdominal aorta; Appendix; Breast (required); Gallbladder; Liver; Pancreas; Pediatric abdomen/pelvis; Spleen
    • Vascular Imaging: Aorta; Carotid; Color flow; Doppler studies; Duplex; Lower extremity arterial and venous; M-mode; Renal artery duplex; Upper extremity arterial and venous
    • Renal/Pelvis: Bladder; Hernia; Ovaries; Renal/bladder; Transvaginal; Uterus; Vaginal
    • Small Parts: Breast ultrasound (required); Superficial masses; Testicles/scrotum; Thyroid
    • Transplant Studies: Liver (required); Renal (required)
    • Procedures: Paracentesis (required); Ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration (required)
    • Additional Skills: Adult echo; Contrast echo; Echo stress - treadmill
    • Equipment Experience: GE ultrasound equipment; PACS
    • Professional Knowledge: Isolation precautions and proper use of PPE
  • Travel experience is not required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations within multispecialty areas including general, vascular, cardiology, OB/GYN, fetal, neonatal, renal, and small parts imaging
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment such as GE systems and PACS to ensure high-quality imaging results
  • Accurately document and chart clinical findings using the Epic system in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
  • Conduct specialized procedures such as paracentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsies with precision and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support diagnostic and treatment processes
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrate expertise in echo stress testing and advanced cardiology ultrasound techniques as needed
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide education during all phases of ultrasound examinations

Qualifications

  • Certified and credentialed as ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven proficiency in Epic charting system
  • Strong clinical knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide variety of ultrasound modalities and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with ultrasound technology and best practices

This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $78.00 to $92.00.
