Join Our Team as a Radiology / Cardiology Technologist in Portland, OR

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology / Cardiology Technologist to join our Electrophysiology team. Schedule & Shift

  • Days: Monday through Thursday
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Workweek: 4 x 10-hour days

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Proficient in charting using Epic system
  • Certifications Required: ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, OR LIC OBMI
  • Electrophysiology Studies Expertise:
    • Arrhythmia Induction
    • Baseline Measurements
    • Cardiac Ablation
    • Conduction Studies
    • Electrophysiology Evaluation
    • Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
    • Pacemaker Insertion
  • Experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
  • Familiarity with Fluoroscopy and Philips equipment
  • Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures Knowledge:
    • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
    • Laser-assisted procedures
    • Permanent Pacemaker Insertion (PPI)
    • Scrub Procedures
    • Watchman device procedures
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
    • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
    • Manage inventory and stock supplies
  • Procedural Competencies:
    • EKG lead placement
    • Prep access site
    • Scrub and maintain sterile field
    • Use of vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
  • Strict adherence to infection control practices including sterile technique
  • Additional skills with C-ARM imaging
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrophysiology studies including arrhythmia induction and cardiac ablation procedures
  • Assist with conduction studies and electrophysiology evaluations, ensuring patient safety and procedure accuracy
  • Conduct pacemaker insertions and Left Atrial Appendage Closure procedures with precision
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and C-ARM systems
  • Interpret dysrhythmias and support laser-assisted and permanent pacemaker insertion interventions
  • Maintain sterile field and assist in scrub procedures adhering to best infection control practices
  • Prepare patients and access sites, and manage vascular closure systems post-procedure
  • Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure all equipment is maintained and operational
  • Chart accurately and timely within the Epic system to document patient care and procedural details

Qualifications

  • Current certification in ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, and appropriate Oregon licensure (OBMI)
  • Demonstrated experience in electrophysiology lab environment with clinical proficiency in required procedures
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac cath lab protocols and procedural requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques
  • Proficient use of Epic electronic health records system
