We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Therapy/Rehabilitation professional to join our PT Acute Care team. Schedule

Day Shift (5 days x 8 hours) | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience (required)
  • Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Experience in multiple work settings including:
    • Acute Care
    • Outpatient Clinic (required)
    • Rehabilitation Hospital (required)
    • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (required)
  • Solid assessment skills including body mechanics
  • Orthopedic expertise including conditions/procedures such as:
    • Cervicalgia (required)
    • Low back pain (required)
    • Post operative cervical surgery
    • Post operative shoulder repair
    • Post operative spinal surgery
    • Spinal conditions (required)
    • Total hip replacement
    • Total knee replacement
    • Gait training (required)
    • Hip fractures/injuries (required)
  • Neurologic patient management including:
    • Cognitive disorders
    • Multiple sclerosis
    • Muscular dystrophy
    • Parkinson’s disease
    • Post stroke rehabilitation
    • Spinal cord injury
    • Traumatic brain injury
  • Professional skills including home exercise program formulation and patient/family education
  • Specializations in neurology and orthopedics (both required)
  • Comprehensive documentation skills for assessments, evaluations, and discharge (all required)
  • Proficient with equipment and devices including:
    • Bed alarms (required)
    • Call lights (required)
    • Gait belts (required)
    • Hospital and specialty beds (required)
    • Sliding boards (required)
  • Billing knowledge for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare A (all required)
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments using appropriate techniques, including evaluation of body mechanics and neurologic and orthopedic conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy and rehabilitation plans tailored to acute care patient populations
  • Deliver effective gait training and rehabilitation interventions for orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses
  • Coordinate patient care across multiple settings — acute care, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety, and ongoing rehabilitation goals
  • Document all assessments, evaluations, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the Epic system
  • Utilize specialized equipment and safety devices competently to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and support billing processes for commercial and government insurance plans
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and certification requirements, including BLS standards

Qualifications

  • Licensed or certified Therapy/Rehabilitation professional in the state of Texas
  • At least 1 year of documented acute care experience
  • Proficient user of Epic electronic health records system
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong clinical knowledge in orthopedics and neurology rehabilitation fields
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family education
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly rate ranging from $55.00 to $65.00.
