We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Therapy/Rehabilitation professional to join our dynamic PT Acute Care team. Schedule

Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8 Hours)

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience (strictly required)
  • Experience in Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Hospital, and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings (required)
  • Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment including body mechanics
  • Orthopedic expertise: cervicalgia, low back pain, spinal conditions, gait training, hip fractures/injuries (all required); post-op cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries; total hip and knee replacements
  • Neurologic patient care knowledge: neurology population experience required; familiarity with cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
  • Competence with professional skills including home exercise programs and patient/family education
  • Documentation proficiency covering assessments, evaluations, and discharge processes (required)
  • Experience using essential equipment and devices such as bed alarms, call lights, gait belts, hospital/specialty beds, and sliding boards (all required)
  • Familiarity with billing procedures including commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare Part A (required)
  • No travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions across acute care, outpatient, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing settings
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments emphasizing body mechanics and functional mobility
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and home exercise programs catering to orthopedic and neurologic patient populations
  • Utilize expert knowledge in orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, spinal conditions, and gait training for functional recovery
  • Deliver comprehensive neurologic rehabilitation for patients with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and traumatic brain injury
  • Prepare accurate and timely documentation including assessments, evaluations, and discharge summaries in Epic
  • Engage with patients and their families through education to promote optimal recovery outcomes
  • Ensure safety using proper equipment such as gait belts, bed alarms, and specialty beds
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes
  • Follow all billing and coding procedures aligned with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare A guidelines

Qualifications

  • Licensed or certified physical therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in outpatient, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility environments
  • Proficiency in Epic electronic medical records system
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation principles
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate of $52.00 - $61.00, paid weekly through Quick2Hire staffing agency.
