We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our critical care team in the 2E Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Shift & Schedule
- Position: Full-time ICU RN
- Shift: To be discussed based on unit needs
- Schedule: Variable, typically includes days, nights, or weekends in ICU settings
Requirements & Skills
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care setting preferred
- Strong assessment and clinical skills to manage critically ill patients
- Ability to operate advanced medical equipment used in the ICU
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- BSN degree or equivalent preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill surgical patients in the SICU
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as per physician orders
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with policies
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment options
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards in the ICU environment
- Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Strong dedication to patient advocacy and quality care
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress critical care setting
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $63.00 to $74.00, paid weekly through Quick2Hire staffing agency.
