Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Proven experience or training in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to operate and interpret data from advanced medical equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to changes
- Administer medications, IVs, and perform treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and therapists, to implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Minimum of one year ICU experience strongly preferred
- Active Nebraska RN license in good standing
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
