Required Skills & Requirements

  • Certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
  • Proven experience working in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic imaging techniques
  • Ability to perform invasive cardiovascular procedures with attention to safety and detail
  • Proficiency in operating complex imaging equipment and monitoring patient vitals
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare and maintain catheterization lab equipment, ensuring readiness and sterility
  • Operate fluoroscopic and imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
  • Monitor patient’s physiological status during procedures and respond promptly to emergencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient data, and equipment maintenance logs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and compassionate patient care
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards within the Cath Lab environment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
  • Certification as CVT or Rad Tech, with appropriate state licensure
  • Prior Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in cardiovascular diagnostic procedures and patient care
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
