Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Proven clinical experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery (OB/L&D)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills relevant to maternal and newborn care
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients and respond promptly to emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes or complications
- Assist with deliveries, including normal and emergency situations
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum health
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with protocols and regulations
- Adhere to infection control, safety procedures, and organizational policies at all times
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensure in Minnesota
- Experience specifically in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrical nursing preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Empathy and dedication to patient-centered care
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate: $78.00 - $92.00
