Requirements & Skills
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Specialized experience in Obstetrics (OB) and Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and infants during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being through assessments and use of technology
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and appropriate
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and unexpected developments during childbirth
- Support breastfeeding and newborn care education
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license valid in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ OB / L&D nursing experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $66.00 to $79.00 based on experience and qualifications.
