Requirements and Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing
- Proven experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal monitoring and newborn care practices
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical documentation systems
- Up-to-date certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, interpreting clinical data accurately and promptly
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after birth
- Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards
- Respond efficiently to emergency situations, applying critical thinking and clinical skills
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance patient care standards
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN licensure required
- Specialized experience in OB/Labor & Delivery nursing
- Valid BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $78.00 to $92.00, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
